Darkness had fallen in silverpine and a storm had blown in from the coast, battering the windows of fenris keep with howling wind and driving rain.
a shadow crept in the direction of the keep, completely unperceptible to any normal being. the shadow halted, breifly stooping to inspect some tracks on the ground. the shadow grinned and chuckled to itself before moving forward at a faster but no less stealthy pace.
inside the keep a few members and associates of the royal house of sylvanas schemed and plotted in a dimly lit upper room. Othragon Rotarm studied the maps and battleplans laid out on the table, pausing briefly to swat a large spider. "damn spiders" he muttered. there had been an increase in the arachnids activities over the past few days and they had become particularly aggressive and agitated. "bloody place is infested recently"
he went back to studying the plans and voiced his expert opinion to the gathering. agreements were made, wicked grins and nods were exchanged.
"lovely weather we're having" remarked the crazed but genius doctor Archnazg. he sipped at a large glass of wine and took a seat at the head of the table.
"ah i see that the plans are coming together nicely. just as i'd ho....."
at that moment the shutters of one of the windows flew open violently, sending the curtains billowing outward and causing the torches in the room to sputter and go out
"yes, lovely weather" the doctor remarked as he shut the window with a wave of his hand and raised his staff to re-illuminate the room.
thunder boomed dramatically as the light from the staff fell upon a solitary figure, seemingly cloaked in shadowy spiderwebs standing in the centre of the room. some of the gathered house members rushed to gather weapons before recognising the figure with a collective gasp.
"calm down" said Alexana with her typical predatory grin "you look like youve seen a ghost"
