History
In life
Alexana Von Grymm was the daughter of a blacksmith and lived in pyrewood village in silverpine forest. She and her family survived the initial coming of the plague only to be cursed by the archmage arugal and turned into the worgen. in her late teens Alexana's family were slain during a raid by a band of adventurers heading toward shadowfang keep, she fled into the silverpine forest and survived for quite some time by stealing food from the farms in the area (she avoided contact with other humans because of her curse) but gradually the farms and settlements of silverpine succumbed to the scourge invaders. It was here where Alexana came into contact with the plague.
Post mortem
After she had succumbed to the plague she awoke to find herself bound tightly in cloth and half submerged in mud and cold water. To her horror she realised that she had been hastily prepared for burial.
She managed to free herself and recognised that she was lying beneath the ferry landing on lake lordamere. horrified by her situation and her new forsaken form she fled blindly into the forest and found herself on the outskirts of the settlement of deathknell. for a long time she kept out of sight of the inhabitants of deathknell but found that she felt safer when she stayed close to the village. eventually she entered deathknell openly and found that the forsaken which she had thought to be monsters welcomed her with open arms.
During her time in deathknell she uncovered a few facts about her life before her death (she remembers very little about her previous life) most importanly her name and some of her family history.
Her new found allies also helped her to get used to her new undead existence and told her of the undercity and its queen.
Alexana travelled to the undercity and learned of the Death Stalkers, wishing to repay the kindness and hospitality she had received in the dark lady's lands (and to pursue her own mysterious goals) she signed up.
Though she no longer shifts into worgen form (most likely a "side effect" from the plague) she becomes more aggressive and bloodthirsty and her senses become more acute when the sun sets. thus she specialised as a shadowstalker, the perfect role for such a creature of the night.
After training for some time and excelling as a Shadowstalker she decided to seek membership into the queens elite royal house.
she now serves among them loyaly.
