The Incident at Refugee Point Empty

The Dark Lord Archnazg Magnark took from his robes a blade and thrust it through the chest of the Warlord of the defeated Heritage of Zandalar. Unable now to retaliate, she was before the mercy of Lord Magnark.

"FINALLY! DIE!"

Archnazg twisted the blade, blood covering his robes, Ryleen fell to the ground. Chaos filled the area, the agents of the House of Sylvanas fighting both soldiers of the Alliance and tribe members of the Heritage of Zandalar.

Archnazgs knelt by Ryleen thrusting and twisting his blade into her in a manic rage. He cackled in pure insanity, mutilating her in delight. The attack was hard, the basin that was Refuge Pointe was filled with corpses and ran with blood.

Othragon, Crell and Nercaz, agents of the House of Sylvanas kept a lethal barrage of blades against the attackers. The Heritage of Zandalar, strucken at the fall of their warlord fled. The Alliance attack intensified, and eventually the House of Sylvanas fled to Tarren Mill.

Here's how it happened:

The House of Sylvanas rode through Hillsbrad with a bloodlust. Their plans to rid the world of the humans that stood in the way of their success in Hillsbrad and Arathi Highlands were first on their list of enemies.

The farms of Hillsbrad met them first. There was a grand slaughter, all but one were spared who Archnazg instructed to witness and speak of these events. The terrified girl was left in a manic state as she was left with the mounds of bodies.

The House moved onto Southshore. The monstoricies commited here can be some of the worst ordered by the Dark Lord.

The town was slaughtered, children were taken out to the street and canibalized by the invaders. Families were ripped apart onfront of eachother. A woman wept as the Dark Lord's men tore apart her children, scattering the remains onto her. Homes were barricaded shut and set alight as they tried to escape, invain.

The Dark Lord laughed, gloating over his crimes. Nercaz, a former Alliance commander now serving the House frowned and obeyed like a slave to execute these innocent civilians.

However, it was now the Heritage of Zandalar appeared. Warlord Ryleen spoke against the Dark Lord's preaching of his genocide.

"You dare stop this military operation? Treacherous dog!" Archnazg sneered and ordered a nearby house, filled with terrified humans to be barricaded and burnt. Ryleen stood in the way. Archnazg ordered his men to attack the Heritage upon Ryleen sending a deadly bolt of fire at him.

Battle between the House and Heritage was short. The House defeated them, pushing them back. However, at this time, other Heritage members had evacuated the remaining living of Southshore. With the Heritage pushed back, Archnazg laughed and smote them.

They left the massacre and rode for Refuge Pointe.

After sweeping through the remnant of Stromguard they arrived at Refuge Pointe. Once again, the murderous House of Sylvanas sparred and butchered the humans, feasting on their flesh as they did so. Drunk on flesh and blood, they were stopped.

Ryleen and her trollish tribesmen appeared again. There was less conversation this time, Ryleen sent forth another attack when Archnazg moved for cowering civilians. The Dark Lord retaliated, and set his men onto the Heritage.

Archnazg and Ryleen sparred with their magics among the battle. There were many guards defending Refuge Pointe, so the place was manic, crowded with chaos and anarchy. Eventually, Ryleen once again was defeated by Archnazg. After a final struggle, she knelt....

(( By Elena ))

A teenage boy comes running towards Elena's temporary residence in Menethil Harbour.

"Knight-Lieutenant Morrissey! You have mail!" he shouts excitedly as he waves around the sealed envelope.

"Already? But we just got back, this can't possibly be about the battle at Thandol Span." She carefully puts her pen back on the desk and gets up to let the boy in.

"Thank you, Steven," she says as the boy hands her the letter. "Here, take this as your reward." A jolly smile appears on the boy's face as he grabs the silver coin and runs away.

"So, let's see what this is about," Elena mumbles to herself as she closes the tent's curtain.

After reading the letter she takes a seat on her bed and stares in front of her for a few minutes. She seems devastated.

"This is terrible ... If it wasn't for the troll, they would all have been wiped out before we even got there. I can't let the same thing happen to them ... I mustn't."

She jumps up from the bed, sits herself down at her desk and commences writing a new letter.

Standing on the edge of the Cloudkisser, Rotarm surveyed the Vengeance Landing as it docked on the tower. His image gruesome, his armor and lower jaw covered in dried blood, guts and pieces of flesh glued to his macabre semblant.

Humanity had payed the price. Never would they prosper again in the Realm of the Banshee, their progenies erased in the earlier display of gore and dominance that swept through Hillsbrad and Arathi. The echoes of children screaming as they were savagely butchered and the agonizing howls of pain as they burned alive inside the buildings now attoned on his mind, as he left the Zeppelin and descended the tower's stairway.

His role on the Royal House had been fulfilled, and as head of Forsaken Military he felt confident his duty in the Eastern Kingdoms was all but done, the land was ripe for the taking, the frail human bastions fractured and scattered in utter terror.

Only Vengeance remained, and it announced itself in the form of a chilling breeze that swept through the undead settlement, coming from the cold glacier of Icecrown, waking the High Executor from his stupor, calling him.

" So be it, My Queen.... "

Calling forth his rotting, sickly drake, Rotarm took off to the far North, headed for the last battle of his undeath, never to be seen again...

Feasting and taking a break from fighting, this was what Jah'Raka commited to do this day. As he grabbed for his pipe, to release the tension from the very last muscle of his body, a orc rogue stepped out of the shadows. Taking small steps the orc left a pile of papers on the nearby table and left as he came.

Hmmm, the battle reports. Jah'Raka though.

His dislike for the human Kingdoms wasn't much different then those of the Forsaken, however he didn't knew what exactly to do or what to think of the whole attacks. Was it clever to taunt the Alliance at this moment? The Lordaeron Regiment has been pushed back, but this wouldn't stop them for another charge on the Thandol Span.

It is good to weaken their garrisons in case they pass. Or is this going to fuel them into battle? Things became unpredictable, he hated when this happens. It didn't bothered him for the innocent people who faced death, but he still smirked at the though of what would happen if the Marshal reaches these lands.

He lent back on his chair, with pleasure releasing the smoke forming circles in the air. Victory was his, at least for now, and he would enjoy the few joys the gold he earned offer him for now. Tomorrow the war can continue for him, today be it as if he is King.

Ryleen sits curled up in a chair in the room that was her home for the time being. Nicely furninshed as it was, the lack if windows and the heavy door didn't let her forget that it was after all a prison cell. She wasn't treated badly. At times, she could nearly convince herself she was simply a guest. But thoughts of the future couldn't get out of her head.

"You are to be arrested on the charge of treason"

"..traitor to the Horde...."

What had she gotten herself into? She was terrified. Some part of her had always suspected that she might die for a noble cause, standing up against injustice, defending the weak and helpless.

But now... Now that it was about to become reality...

She wasn't so sure anymore.

Her thought wandered, yet again, to her own children. At least they were safe, hidden away far from the war. But what would happen to them if she was executed? What would happen to the Heritage?

Would she change what she had done, were she given the chance?

She didn't even have to stop and think. No. She wouldn't.

She had been lucky to have been saved, her sprit called back to her body, her heart made to beat again. But dying was nonetheless a horrifying experience. But she would do it all over again in a heartbeat, if it meant saving the lives of those civilians.

It had been the right thing to do.

She knew that, without doubt.

Too bad the rest of the world didn't seem to agree...

The Incident at Refugee Point Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Incident at Refugee Point   The Incident at Refugee Point EmptyWed Feb 03, 2010 5:25 pm

(( By Dai ))

An enormous dire raven flew through the forests of Silverpine. Struggling with the heavily pouring rain and wind, it kept going on and on to its destination.
Some time later, the beast flew through the open window of a mansion hidden in the woods. It perched on the egde of a heavy wooden desk, set down a letter, sealed with the icon of torment, and waited patiently for the adressee to come claim it.

The room was dark, resembling a basement, tables and floors covered with dried blood. Along the walls stood several cages, some empty, the rest occupied by captive humans and beasts; all trembling from the cold and fear. The tables showered with bodyparts, arms, fangs, claws and other things, twisted, stiched, pulsating...

A silent creak broke the silence, as a tall figure of a woman, clad in dark leather, entered the room. Several whimpers from the cages greeted her.

Silence, wretches!“ Daidrax snapped and turned to the cage. Then the raven, still sitting on the desk, caught her eye.

„What have we here..?“ she smirked, pulling out one of the daggers, strapped to her belt.

The ranger reached into the cage, grabbing the arm of a terrified human male, peeling a piece of flesh off of it.

„Now now... why struggle?“ Her voice was quiet, almost sweet, ignoring the shrieks from the surrounding cages and the victim himself.

„We have been through this countless times now, have we not?“ her eyes wandered to the manĀ“s other arm, or to the place where his other arm used to be.

Finally she released him, throwing a piece of human flesh to the raven. She moved over to the desk, took the letter and ripped the seal off.

Her eyes scanned through the content, but only for a brief moment, before she let out a mad cackle, echoing through the dungeon.

„So she is gone.. finally. We see who has the last laugh here, my dear Ryleen.“

She read on...

„Defending the human filth..? That is a stupid thing to do, even for you. Pity, I was not there to see it.“

...and on..

„The Lord wishes to speak with me? Well, he should not be forced to wait.“
