Enlivening SSL RP

I deleted some things, which didn´t have a point, such as "I´ll bump this thread daily to keep it in attention", from this wall of text.


We've had a nice long chat on LFRP about what can be done to promote SSL's rp.

Right, what it looks like was decided on, is to create a new RP hub, and the two that were most liked in the channel ( and feel free to suggest more ) were TB - at the pond, and Orgri - in the Valley of Honor.

It has to be one of these two for two reasons.

SMC and UC have the wrong atmosphere to fit the majority of characters, whereas the pond is very neutral, and the valley has a nice open space, and plenty props to go around.

Secondly, it -has- to be somewhere in or next to a main city, as the easier it is to "jump in and out" of the rp, the more likely someone is to get involved, if he or she has time constraints, is too low level to visit another place, or has not got a mount to get there in any reasonable time.

Guild leaders, please feel free to ( and encouraged to ) link this thread on your guild sites, the more input the community sees, the better for everyone.

Now, what we need to make this work is a core group of regular rp'ers, who would gather there as often as they can, to promote the area. The more active people see the place, the more people will visit it. We saw this with the TB pond a long time ago.

Hm, I don't have much left to add, but I'd love to get SSL back to what it was in it's glory days.



Soooo Housies, anyone feel like making a tauren and hugging at the TB pond?

Also, hw forgot to mention HoS would kill anyone who´d try to hug in out city! MUHA.

I guess it's ok to have places such as these, but for now i am well enough conformed with the House's own hub of rp, of course i might pop an alt on TB or orgri to do some rather social rp but it's really not the time of thing i envision for Oth.

Cheers for the initiative tho, i know lots of people miss it since the Keel closed.

In other words: TB pond and orgri valley of honor will be the new Hordish Goldshire, a place where lvl 1 naked Taurens and orcs run with the heroic words 'Hey, girl, you look nice, what about undressing and have a good old hump in that nice pool over there'.



Let those social fluffy bunny RP'ers have their Orgri or TB pond as long if they think of UC being to ev0l to lurk around, the better for us. No kuddling, humping and laz0rbeams'n sniperguns in our city!

Was a stupid post, the guy hasn't thought through the idea well and has presented it terribley. We have our own hub which is great. Outsiders know where to find us.

Yes and very recently, Silvermoon is a really good city to RP in, as there is a new serious Belf guild 'The Everlasting Sun' around.

Sure gives nice opportunities for the House, as it would be the only guild that would be 'good' enough to have a treaty with.

Most of their RP will move away from Silvermoon as soon as they ICly rebuild their facilities. Also, they considered it a poor choice to send a DK as an ambassador. I'm not in game this week so don't know how that worked out. But yes, they should provide some nice RP and you can expect an official visit from them to UC soonish.

A dk? Othragon was the one that made the arrangments, Aeol just went with him (on the second part of the negotiations) and was more standing like a guard than being a link between TEL and HoS

Arct was actually the first one to approach them, but only on a non official way.

I wasn't judging anything, just relaying here verbatim what I saw in the ES forums. But I do trust you guys to take care of things.

TBH a DK is a perfect ambassador to us!

Not to them Archeh, same as a troll wouldn't be the perfect ambassador to present us with.
